Built 1884, the Gasthof zur Post has been handed down 5 generations of our family and gone through many changes on its way to becoming Hotel Post. There used to be a petrol station, a butchery or a dentist in the Gasthof. But with all these renovations, changes and additions, we have always sought to maintain the original, traditional character of the Gasthof.
Hospitality runs in the family: Christoph and Ilona and Fritz and Christa Hönig always seek to create a pleasurable stay for their guests.

You will find Christoph mainly in the kitchen or the restaurant, but he is also a passionate tinkerer and a master in solving technical problems. He always tries out new recipies and maybe he will reveal one of his kitchen secrets to you.
She divides her time between three little kids, rotas, kitchen pass, administration and an open ear to guests and team members. Hospitality was a career change for her and so she sees things from a different angle, bringing fresh ideas to the hotel.
Senior Fritz Hönig is the undisputed master of the wine cellar. He is also a master butcher and always makes sure the raw produce is of the best quality for his guests. He accompanies coach groups on their excursions and loves wine tastings.
Senior Christa Hönig is always there for her guests daily needs. She devotes a lot of her time to the flowers and plants in and around the hotel. In her spare time she loves to be an "Omi" and makes fabulous apple compotte and Kaiserschmarren for her grand children.
