Hospitality is the key to discribe the Hönig family - Christoph, Fritz and Christa. Every day they make sure that their guests feel at home - away from home.

The Gasthof, built in 1884, has been through a lot of changes with and through 5 generations of the Hönig family. Once, a petrol station, a butchers, or a dentist have been incorporated in the building. Thoughout these changes, we have always made sure to maintain the original character of the house. The latest project was a complete kitchen renovation in January 2010 and Christoph is already planning new ideas....

Christoph
You will find Christoph mainly in the kitchen or the restaurant. His new ideas bring a fresh breeze into the hotel.

Fritz
Fritz is the unchallenged master of the winecellar - wine tastings are his soft spot!
As a master butcher, he watches over the best quality of the produce.
He also accompanies groups on their excursions.

Christa
Christa is your first contact - she looks after reservations and reception and makes sure our guests feel at home.
Her heart belongs the the flowers and plants in and around the hotel.

This Breathtaking World
This Breathtaking World - Around the World by Bicyle 1997 - 1999
is a beautiful and very personal account about life on the road by Tim Doherty (Verena Hönig´s husband). Written in English, the book contains a lot of references to Kirchschlag and the Hotel Post.
